Year for
Priests
June 19,2009
to
June 19,2010
Dear Lord,
We pray that the
Blessed Mother
wrap her mantle
around your priests
and through her
intercession
strengthen them for
their ministry.
We pray that Mary
will guide your
priests to follow
her own words.
"Do whatever He
tells you" (Jn 2:5)
May your priests
have the heart of
St. Joseph, Mary's
most chaste spouse.
May the Blessed
Mother's own pierced
heart inspire them
to embrace all who
suffer at the foot
of the cross.
May your priests be
holy, filled with
the fire of your
love
seeking nothing but
your greater glory
and the salvation of
souls.
Amen.
Mary, Queen of the
Clergy, pray for our
priests.
St. John Vianney,
pray for our
priests.
In charity pray for
our diocesan
priests, our
seminarians, and
vocations to the
priesthood in
service to our
diocese.

Child Abuse Reporting Requirements
In accordance with state law and school policy, school staff are obligated under
penalty of fine and jail term to report the reasonable suspicion of physical
abuse, sexual abuse, or child neglect to the proper authorities. In this very
serious and legally narrow area, the school will not contact parents in advance
of making a report to authorities, which would be the procedure followed in most
other legal matters. The clear intent of the law, based on the seriousness of
the crimes listed above, is to mandate that a report of reasonable suspicion of
abuse be made. School staff will make such reports in the best interest of the
affected child and do not, once reasonable suspicion is established, have any
legal alternative except to make the report to the proper authorities for their
investigation and review. |
